The Role

As a Post Completions Executive, you will play a crucial role in ensuring all post-completion matters are handled efficiently and accurately. You will be responsible for managing the administrative tasks required after property transactions have completed, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Submitting SDLT (Stamp Duty Land Tax) returns and ensuring payments are processed within HMRC deadlines
✅ Registering property transactions with the Land Registry, ensuring accuracy and compliance
✅ Handling requisitions from the Land Registry and liaising with conveyancers to resolve any issues
✅ Managing post-completion files, ensuring all necessary documents are processed and stored correctly
✅ Dealing with lender and client queries regarding registrations
✅ Ensuring prompt and accurate closure of files once all post-completion tasks are completed
✅ Maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including AML and GDPR policies
✅ Liaising with solicitors, clients, mortgage lenders, and third parties to ensure a smooth process
✅ Keeping up to date with legislative and regulatory changes affecting post-completions work

About You

✅ Previous experience in a post-completions or conveyancing support role is essential
✅ Strong understanding of Land Registry processesSDLT submissions, and mortgage lender requirements
✅ Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of work efficiently
✅ Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and third parties
✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
✅ Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
✅ Experience using case management systems and digital submission platforms

We’re looking for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join our growing team at Chapter Law. This is a role for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work, values great client relationships, and wants to build a long-term career in a modern, people-first law firm.

You’ll manage a genuinely capped workload, supported by a dedicated onboarding team and post-completion specialists, so you can focus on doing great conveyancing work — without burnout.

🛠️ What you’ll be doing

This role is about delivering great outcomes for clients while working in a way that’s sustainable and collaborative.

You’ll:

🧾Manage sales, purchases and remortgages from instruction through to completion
🔍 Investigate titles, legal issues and potential fraud risks with confidence
💬 Communicate clearly with clients, estate agents and other solicitors
🔐 Oversee secure fund transfers and ensure regulatory compliance
🌱 Work closely with our onboarding team to ensure files are set up accurately from day on
🤝 Partner with our dedicated post-completion team, allowing you to focus on active matters
🤝 Support junior colleagues when needed, sharing knowledge and best practice
🎓 Stay up to date with changes in conveyancing law and process
